Ear Syringing (Irrigation)

Gentle, warm water irrigation to safely clear blacked

What Is Ear Syringing (Irrigation)?

Ear syringing, also known as irrigation, is a gentle method of removing softened ear wax using a controlled flow of warm water.
It is a safe and effective option for patients whose wax is suitable for water-based treatment.

At The Ear Health Hub, we use modern electronic irrigation systems that allow your specialist to control both water pressure and temperature — ensuring a comfortable and effective treatment.

How Irrigation Works

Irrigation uses a low-pressure stream of warm water to gently flush wax out of the ear canal. Unlike older methods, our modern equipment prevents forceful water flow, reducing discomfort and improving safety.

The benefits of irrigation include:

Before Your Appointment

To ensure the treatment is as effective as possible:

Please use olive oil ear drops for 3–5 days before your appointment.

This softens the wax and allows it to flush out more easily.

If your ears are painful or you suspect an infection, let us know before your appointment — we will assess whether irrigation is suitable.
